Drawings, words, and brain activity generating a shared dreamscape.
2025 · MoCNA, Santa Fe · with Kairos
An interactive bio-adaptive installation presented at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) in Santa Fe, within an exhibition by Suzanne Kite. Participants enter a shared dream space where their drawings, words, and brain activity shape the unfolding visual environment.
The system joins EEG signals, live text, and symbolic structures inspired by Lakota dream language. Prompts derived from neural embeddings steer a generative model that keeps transforming the imagery, an exchange between human intention and machine interpretation.
The collective dream platform gathers more than 1,000 dreams shared by visitors. Each dream becomes a point in an evolving landscape where recurring themes, emotions, and symbols can be read and explored as clusters.
